His parents saw
So this weekend we went to see Keane's play at that Late-night Ernst Lab theater. Overall, I thought that it was a pretty good play. For some reason, I usually don't well tolerate plays with storylines, so this was good, more like a collection of small performances and monologues. Anyway, we knew that the play might be a bit racy and not exactly traditional, but I don't think any of us were prepared for what happened only like 10 minutes into the play. From the dialogue, we all could tell what was coming, but y'know it's like running over a bird in your car. You can see it coming, and then you say, "no you don't bird, don't do it bird, just fly away, fly away, fly away...." And then all you see is feathers, and they fly up on the windshield, and explode into a big, sloppy ball of fluff and slimmy bird guts. And you turn to your friend riding with you and say "What was that?!" And you look back to the road and those feathers are still flying around your windshield and they're all in your wipers and stuck in those little vent holes on the hood and you have to see it all the way back driving home. Yeah, kinda like that.
But overall it was fun. So congrats to Keane for grossing us all out. I hope your parents enjoyed it just as much as we did. What? The play of course, I hope they enjoyed the play just as much as we did. Anyway, here's a few pictures from Kiyomi's birthday party.
