Big Island

Just in case anyone missed me (haha), here's a glimpse as to what Neil & I have been up to.

This is Waipio Valley. We took our 4WD SUV down this wind-y, bumpy, steep@ss road to find the waterfall. I was scared. On the way to the fall, there were these two horses just crusin, eating grass. They were cute but they followed us out & tried to eat my sweater.

The last three pictures were taken at Kilauea. We walked about 3 miles & waited until dark to watch the lava meet the ocean. It was neat. The hike was a mentally difficult because we had to watch our every step & it went up & down. We probably walked more than 3 miles when you consider the surface area of what we traveled. Then, walking back in the pitch dark was no picnic either. However, we caught the sunset & also got to see much more stars than we ever see back home.

I'll be posting Cinicinnati pictures as soon as I can.

COOL! Looks like you guys have a great time. I'm impressed that you guys did the lava shelf thing, that must've been pretty sweet. More inspiration for another trip maybe?
